The holiday resort is in an ideal location in Scalea, one of the most important tourist centres on the Cedri Riviera. It is near to the sea, only 800m, and is at the foot of a mountain. It boasts beautiful scenery and caters for the needs of the adventurous tourist who loves nature, as well as the less adventurous who loves relaxing on the beach. There are many well-organised lidos, some of which are linked to the resort, and the area has numerous, clean, free beaches.

Here it’s possible to satisfy all tastes, from sporting activities and sunbathing to excursions to historic villages rich in culture along the coastline, there is something for everyone. Thanks to the small airport nearby it’s possible to enjoy sightseeing flights, parachuting and hand gliding or you can even reach Scalea directly by plane from Naples or Rome (site under construction). There are also rafting centres nearby where tourists can enjoy the natural beauty of lakes Lao and Argentino, and a horse-riding centre, (Centro Ippico La Bruca) only 200m from the resort, where tourists can go on horse rides or even take lessons for beginners.

Thanks to the magnificent weather that offers a hot spring from the end of March and pleasant, warm weather till the end of October sometimes even November, it’s the ideal place for pensioners who have lots of free time and are not tied to high-season only holidays.

Even families and young couples with children who are looking for a quiet place yet with play areas for children, and who pay particular attention to the freshness of local products used in cooking, will not be disappointed by what awaits them here.

 

Some of the typical, local Calabrian products are, grilled sword-fish with lemon and aromatic herbs, (Rosa marina), spicy Calabrian salame and a typical local cheese called ‘Cacio silano’. These products can be found along with others in the resort’s supermarket.

Besides that, in the self-service buffet, tasty, regional dishes will be served daily at lunch and dinner, leaving residents more time to enjoy their holiday and less time to worry about what to prepare that day.
